Anuschka Pedano is a deeply dedicated, highly talented young violist whose musical journey began at an early age, inspired by the warm, human voice of the viola. Her playing is characterized by outstanding viola skills and a very profound musicality. Her sincerity, emotional depth, and a constant search for beauty and balance are qualities that define her as one of the most promising artists of her generation.  
Recently, she was nominated for the prestigious Next Step Award of the VandenEnde Foundation, which honors the highest artistic potential in the Netherlands.


Anuschka has received numerous distinctions at international competitions, including first prizes at the Britten Viola Competition, the Concours Européen pour Jeunes Solistes in Luxembourg, and the Princess Christina Competition in the Netherlands. She was also a finalist in the Royal Concertgebouw Competition in Amsterdam. Her artistic growth has been further recognized with the Dutch Classic Young Masters Award, the Sinfonia Award, the Prix Marie-Christine Cid-Diaz and the Schiermonnikoog Festival Award.  


Since 2016, Anuschka has been a core member of the international string orchestra LGT Young Soloists (Zurich). With this ensemble, she has performed as a soloist in leading concert halls throughout Europe, Asia, and America, including the Musikverein Vienna, Berliner Philharmonie, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, and Victoria Hall Singapore. She recorded two concert works for viola and orchestra, among them her beloved Romance by Max Bruch, released on Sony Red Seal in 2019 and the Serenade for viola and orchestra by Edvard Fliflet Braein. 
 
Her artistry has taken her to renowned festivals such as Festival Wonderfeel, the Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam, Les Vacances de Monsieur Haydn in France, the Vocal Art Rhein-Main in Frankfurt in Germany, and the Spivakov Festival in Moscow. She has collaborated with esteemed ensembles such as Sinfonia Rotterdam, Ciconia Consort, and the Royal Marine Band of the Netherlands, performing under respected conductors and alongside world-class musicians including Nikita Boriso-Glebsky.  
 
Chamber music holds a special place in Anuschka’s heart. She has worked closely with distinguished artists such as Nobuko Imai, Bruno Philippe, Maria Milstein, Lucas Debargue, young rising star Nikola Meeuwsen and Quatuor Arod, and has received coaching from renowned musicians including Nicholas Angelich, Ivry Gitlis, Alexandra Soumm, Alexander Gordon and Alexander Pavlovsky.  She is regularly invited to perform in prestigious chamber music projects, televised concerts, and cross-disciplinary productions that combine classical music with theatre and literature. 


Anuschka frequently collaborates with leading Dutch ensembles and festivals, performing in innovative productions that explore the connection between music, storytelling, and human emotion. Recent highlights include a nationwide tour of a theatrical concert series that brings classical music to new audiences in unexpected settings, as well as appearances on national television and at major concert venues. 


Together with her sister, singer and oboist Maria Pedano, Anuschka forms a highly acclaimed duo.  The sisters have performed on prestigious stages such as the Royal Concertgebouw and the Royal Carré Theatre in Amsterdam and are praised for their unique musical chemistry and emotional storytelling. Their performances have been featured several times on Dutch national television and have received enthusiastic responses from both audiences and the press. Through their artistic versatility and natural connection on stage, the Pedano sisters have built a distinctive artistic identity that continues to captivate a wide audience across the Netherlands and beyond. 


Anuschka has studied with renowned teachers including Julia Dinerstein, Michael Kugel, Francien Schatborn and Nobuko Imai at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where she graduated cum laude. She continues to refine her artistry through masterclasses with leading musicians like Timothy Ridout or Nils Mönkemeyer.
 
With her strong foundation, artistic integrity, and long-term vision, Anuschka Pedano represents the next generation of European musicians, an artist whose future promises both excellence and emotional connection with audiences around the world.
